Support Us

Do you appreciate live musical performances right in your own town? Please consider supporting the efforts of our all-volunteer board in bringing the best of local musicians to our gracious performance venue at Highland Presbyterian Church in our beloved Lancaster, PA.

Recent challenging times have taught us how important the arts are to the quality of life in our community. Our concerts are funded on a pay-what you-will basis.

We are an official 501(C)(3) non-profit organization. Proper documentation and recognition will be provided for gifts of $250 and up.

Your support will help us continue to:

  • Host our annual Summer Lemonade Concert Series – 10 fabulous concerts offered on a pay-what-you-will basis. We provide performance opportunities and stipends for musicians in our community. In 2019, we offered ten concerts which showcased 105 musicians. Attendance was the highest ever! In 2020, 2021 sadly, it was necessary to cancel our season due to the pandemic. Now we are happily planning for a big 2022 Series as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary of Lemonade Concerts! We are busy making plans for some exciting concerts!
  • Host our vocal competition for local high school and college singers. This scholarship/performance opportunity is not typically offered to aspiring singers in other communities. Over the past five years, we have provided $13,000 in scholarship prizes. In 2020, 2021 it was necessary to cancel the Competition due to Covid-19, and we’re more determined than ever to support vocal excellence in our community with an upgrade in our prize scholarships awarded when the competition returns in 2023.

Just a few of our previous winners!

Future Plans

We will continue to provide our Lancaster audience with outstanding musical performances on a pay-what-you-will basis and hopefully increase compensation to individual musicians/groups as they recover from the effects of the pandemic on their earnings.

The Vocal Competition has become part of our heritage. Vocal study and performance is simply a part of our roots! We will continue to support local high school and college vocalists, who show promise, with the opportunity to continue to study and perform their art through offering an upgrade in our scholarship monies awarded when the Competition returns in 2023.

As funds become available, we will sponsor more educational opportunities for young members of our community, including individual student scholarships and grants for local music educators in support of their endeavors. In 2021, we donated $1,000 to Lancaster Symphony educational programs.
